Combining quality and quantity in the spinach industrial processing is very difficult since it is a very delicate product that tends to have foreign bodies inside. The automatic harvesting and the cultivation technique without the use of pesticides increase the presence of insects and foreign bodies.
Over recent years Turatti has developed a series of processing lines for spinach that stands out for the innovative importance of their process.
Thanks to the integrated washing system (cascade washing system Mod. Niagara) and the blowing washers with insect removal drum (Mod. Venezia) it is possible to separate and then eliminate the foreign bodies, with an efficiency that cannot be achieved with the traditional washing systems.
Our washing system therefore removes almost all floating and non-floating foreign bodies (insects, pieces of wood, etc.).

Another delicate phase in spinach processing is the blanching that must be carried out in order to preserve the quality of the product, without causing damage to the structure.
Therefore Turatti blanchers are specially designed to obtain an homogeneous spreading of the product inside them, thus assuring an high quality final product (untreated at high temperatures).
Careful attention has been dedicated to operating costs, keeping consumption low and ensuring operating conditions that make cleaning and maintenance easier at the end of the processing cycle.
